I just happened upon this site after searching for help because trendmicro has yet to respond to my plea for 4 days... Please- i am a college student preparing for a midterm and unable to use items on my desktop-

here is what i am getting- for the past 5 days items on my desktop freeze when working in word i will type for 10 minutes look up and find i have only typed 3 words (just happened here as well) when i reboot i get the following:
lockx.exe can't be verified are you sure you want to run

i searched trendmicro and printed out what they said to do but to no avail

also- my virus scan says no virus on system but it does show in logs where the rootkit.h tried to infect- i think it may have already...

my system is getting popups and sometiomes when i am trying to log online everything will freeze.

please- help me anyone (MY TYPING JUST FROOZE AGAIN)
i have got to get this assignmnet done for class!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!

i see where others are posting a hijackthis log but i dont know what that is

Please read the first link in my signature and follow the steps outlined there. NOTE: You must install XP SP1a (hold off on SP2 until your computer is clean). Without SP1a, you are wide open to re-infection. When you are ready, post the HijackThis log here.
