I have followed all of your step and rid my computer of a handful of malware in the process, but I am still encountering problems.
The anti-virus program I have been using up until now (AntiVir Guard for Windows XP, www.free-av.com) repetedly and incessently dectects the trojan Crypt.O in the file
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\rqrpp.dll. After finding it however, there is nothing it can do to it. Even after a reboot. Recently Explorer randomly freezes, and IE freezes on start-up.
Please help, and thank you so much!
Here is my Hijackthis log:

Hi dleale :tazz:

You have 2 variants of the Vundo/Virtumonde infection. Please follow the instructions carefully and post back with any questions. Note that the fix may take several iterations, so please do not be concerned if your symptoms are not resolved straight away :) .

Please print these instructions (or save them to Notepad) as you will not have access to the internet during the fix.

Preparation

I notice you are running Microsoft AntiSpyware. The Real Time protection feature can interfere with the fix, so please disable this before continuing (we will re-enable after the fix) by doing the following :
  • Right-click on the Microsoft AntiSpyware icon in your System Tray (it looks like a Red/Yellow/Black target)
  • Click on Security Agents Status (Enabled) and click on Disable Real-time Protection

The Fix

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to extract the files
  • This will create a VundoFix folder on your desktop.
  • After the files are extracted, please reboot your computer into Safe Mode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.
  • Once in safe mode open the VundoFix folder and doubleclick on KillVundo.bat
  • You will first be presented with a warning.
    It should look like this

    VundoFix V2.13 by Atri
By using VundoFix you agree that you are doing so at your own risk
    Press enter to continue....

  • At this point press enter one time.
  • Next you will see:

Type in the filepath as instructed by the forum staff
Then Press Enter, Then F6, Then Enter Again to continue with the fix.

  • At this point please type the following file path (make sure to enter it exactly as below!):
    • C:\WINDOWS\system32\rqrpp.dll
  • Press Enter, then press the F6 key, then press Enter one more time to continue with the fix.
  • Next you will see:

Please type in the second filepath as instructed by the forum staff
Then Press Enter, Then F6, Then Enter Again to continue with the fix.

  • At this point please type the following file path (make sure to enter it exactly as below!):C:\WINDOWS\system32\pprqr.*
  • Press Enter, then press the F6 key, then press Enter one more time to continue with the fix.
  • The fix will run then HijackThis will open.
  • In HiJackThis, please place a check next to the following items and click FIX CHECKED:
    O2 - BHO: MSEvents Object - {52B1DFC7-AAFC-4362-B103-868B0683C697} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\rqrpp.dll
    O20 - Winlogon Notify: rqrpp - C:\WINDOWS\system32\rqrpp.dll

  • After you have fixed these items, close Hijackthis and Press any key to Force a reboot of your computer.
  • Pressing any key will cause a "Blue Screen of Death" this is normal, do not worry!
  • Once your machine reboots please continue with the instructions below.
Download and install CleanUp!

Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
Set the program up as follows:
Click "Options..."
Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):
  • Empty Recycle Bins
  • Delete Cookies
  • Delete Prefetch files
  • Cleanup! All Users
Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.

It may ask you to reboot at the end, click NO.

Then, please run this online virus scan: ActiveScan

Copy the results of the ActiveScan and paste them here along with a new HiJackThis log and the vundofix.txt file from the vundofix folder into this topic.

Hi dleale, good job so far :tazz:

The vundofix.txt file should be located in the VundoFix folder located on your desktop. Alternatively, if you downloaded and extracted the VundoFix.exe to a different location, the VundoFix folder should be a subfolder of that location.

Before we continue, please can you post the completed ActiveScan results together with the vundofix.txt file?

Thanks :) .

Hi dleale :tazz: . Very strange about not being able to find the vundofix.txt file. We will re-run the fix, this time on your 2nd infection and lets see if the text file is created this time.

Please print these instructions out for use in Safe Mode.
  • Reboot your computer into Safe Mode.

    • C:\WINDOWS\system32\ddcde.dll

  • Press Enter, then press the F6 key, then press Enter one more time to continue with the fix.

  • Next you will see:

Please type in the second filepath as instructed by the forum staff
Then Press Enter, Then F6, Then Enter Again to continue with the fix.

  • At this point please type the following file path (make sure to enter it exactly as below!):C:\WINDOWS\system32\edcdd.*
  • Press Enter, then press the F6 key, then press Enter one more time to continue with the fix.
  • The fix will run then HijackThis will open.
  • In HiJackThis, please place a check next to the following items and click FIX CHECKED:
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {00DBDAC8-4691-4797-8E6A-7C6AB89BC441} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ddcde.dll
    O20 - Winlogon Notify: ddcde - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ddcde.dll
  • After you have fixed these items, close Hijackthis and Press any key to Force a reboot of your computer.
  • Pressing any key will cause a "Blue Screen of Death" this is normal, do not worry!
  • Once your machine reboots please continue with the instructions below.
Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
Set the program up as follows:
Click "Options..."
Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):
  • Empty Recycle Bins
  • Delete Cookies
  • Delete Prefetch files
  • Cleanup! All Users
Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.

It may ask you to reboot at the end, click NO.

Re-open HijackThis and run a fresh scan. Copy the new HiJackThis log and the vundofix.txt file from the vundofix folder into this topic.

If you can't find the vundofix.txt file again, you could try searching for it by using Start -> Search -> All Files & Folders and searching your C: drive (including subfolders).

What should I do? And I am very sure i disabled and shutdown microsof antispyware.

Hi dleale :)

Not sure what happened with that Vundofix. Please can you do the following :

1. Reboot your computer in safe mode by tapping F8 during boot and selecting the safe mode option

2. Using Windows Explorer or My Computer, locate the file C:\webhnc.exe and delete it if it exists

3. Reboot your computer in normal mode

4. Jotti File Submission:
  • Please go to Jotti's malware scan
  • Copy and paste the following file path into the "File to upload & scan"box on the top of the page:
    • C:\WINDOWS\System32\faxv32.dll
  • Click on the submit button
  • Please post the results in your next reply.
5. Run HijackThis, perform a scan and post the results in your next reply.

Thanks :tazz:

The Jotti scan didn't scan C:\WINDOWS\System32\faxv32.dll

"The file you uploaded is 0 bytes. It is very likely a firewall or a piece of malware is prohibiting you from uploading this file"

After I received this the first time, I turned off window's firewall and tried again, same results.

Also, while is Safemode, Explorer would not run for longer than aq few seconds, I tried running Explorer.exe but it was short lived, on multiple users too.
(If its worth mentioning, i have NEVER ever had ANY problems in safemod before this.)

Luckily I was till albe to delete C:\webhnc.exe using windows task manager.

Hi dleale :)

Yep, looks like Vundo is still present on your system and hence you will still be getting popup symptoms. Lets see if we can hit this head on...

Please print these instructions out (or save to Notepad) for use in Safe Mode.

Please delete VundoFix.exe file and the VundoFix folder from your desktop

Before running the VundoFix, please ensure any AntiVirus or AntiSpyware products are closed and/or disabled as these may block the VundoFix.

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {00DBDAC8-4691-4797-8E6A-7C6AB89BC441} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ddcde.dll (file missing)
    O20 - Winlogon Notify: ddcde - ddcde.dll (file missing)

  • After you have fixed these items, close Hijackthis and Press any key to Force a reboot of your computer.

  • Pressing any key will cause a "Blue Screen of Death" this is normal, do not worry!

  • As you machine is rebooting, please boot into Safe Mode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.

  • Once in safe mode open the VundoFix folder and rename the vundofix.txt file to vundofix1.txt - if you cannot find the vundofix text file, please search for it as instructed in the previous posts.

  • Doubleclick on KillVundo.bat

  • You will first be presented with a warning.
