attached is my hijack this log...I get the popup window that says "16-bit MS-DOS system, c:\WINDOWS\System32\WINCTR~1.EXE, C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC>NT" with the option to close or ignore window.

I haven't downloaded SP2, last time I did, my computer crashed. I also downloaded cleanup and it froze my computer after doing the scan while trying to remove files, saying something about unrecognized windows xp versions, etc.

I had to do a system restore to before that cleanup scan, and all is okay for now except the winctr problem. Thanks for your help.
