Hey everyone,

Hope you guys can help me here. My Dad makes his own music on his synthesizer and uses Magix Studio to create the midi file and the Magix audio file to convert it to wav format and then adobe audition to put the finishing touches on the wav files and then burn the songs on a cd.

What I would like to know is what is the best software out there that will allow him to do this. What program allows the creation of the best rendition of says a grand piano, where it ACTUALLY sounds like a grand piano, where a flute ACTUALLY sounds like a flute, etc....

Please if you guys could post the programs and the costs associated with them I would be extemely grateful. Money isn't an issue so don't exclude anything just because of the cost of it, my dad just wants something that will sound professional because he is about to submit some of his work to a local recording studio and just wants it to sound the best so it gets the best recognition it can.

I have tried Sound Forge's trial but it sucks in my opinion, it doesn't even allow you to create any music, only to modify a sound file and add effects like fades/boosts, normalization, etc...

Thanks in advance for all the input! :tazz:

now if your on a mac then final cut pro (sountrack pro) is what I would recomend:

Fruit loops 5 is pretty good. I haven't done any this for a while. I assume your dad is using a pretty high end sound card as well.

hope this helps,

I think reason 3 is the best music production software ever!

But check out both websites and see what ones you prefer...

http://www.flstudio.com
http://www.propellerheads.se

All the people i have asked questions to on eBay say that reason 3 is 3 times better that fruity loops!
