Stupid Question: Symantec Virus to make me Pay?

Unless I pay for a renewal -- but I don't want to and I can't get rid of this pop-up. It says Symantec: Your Computer is at risk in the following areas: -Virus protection is out of date. Open your Norton Product to solve these issues. (check box) Do not share Norton Security Status with other products (Recommended). OK box.

I click the OK box, but, it pops back up in a matter of 2 seconds. It's a window that is immovable and stays ontop of every window blocking everything. Is Symantec plaguing me just to buy their software AGAIN? (I have a 100% legal version of Norton)
