I ran the exefix and at the end, it said "read the EXEFIX08 Program Report". Where can I read the program report?

If the exefix runs into a problem the default locatioon for the report is:
c:\windows\desktop\EXEfix08.txt

Something is definitely guarding your startups.

Don't let me guess what it is. I'll need your help to get this resolved.

This is also the last time I'll ask if the problem with the .exe files is solved now.

If you're asking if I'm having trouble with my computer restarting by itself, then yes. If not then tell me what you're talking about. What do you mean by guarding my startups? :tazz:

Also when I go to play games it asks what program i want to open it with,is there anyway to fix this?

OK. Maybe I misunderstood you.
Can you clarify what you meant exactly by the above?

With "guarding the startups" I meant that something is undoing the changes we are making.
This could be something malicious, but I have my doubts.
Are you running any protective software that prevents programs from being added and removed to the list of the ones that start automatically when you computer boots?

It stopped asking that I forgot to tell you, sorry. But the program might be McAfee or Pop-up Control Center.

OK. Can you disable those programs you suspect might be guarding the settings we talked about?

It may be advisable to do this in safe mode.

Then run HijackThks and check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ImInstaller_IncrediMail] C:\DOCUME~1\WALTAN~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\ImInstaller\IncrediMail\incredimail_install[1].exe -startup -product IncrediMail

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [explorer] C:\WINDOWS\system32\Microsoft\security\services.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [explorer] C:\WINDOWS\system32\Microsoft\security\services.exe /RunOnce

Then run HijackThis again to see if they stay away.
Then reboot back to normal and check again.

Let me know whether they stayed away or when they came back.

When you checked in safe mode (after fixing them) had they come back or did they come back after you rebooted?
