I have found it! Those files come back after I reboot my computer. I ran a couple programs before rebooting and the files were gone. But after I rebooted they came back. Here is my log.

Now the file is even in your running processes.

Let's check what we are up against.

Surf to: http://virusscan.jotti.org/

And upload this file to be scanned:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\Microsoft\security\services.exe

Let me know the results.

Good. That should help.

I made a new BFU script for you based on the information I found about this virus.

Run BFU.exe and download this script using the web-button:

http://metallica.geekstogo.com/SATANsS2.bfu

Make sure you see the progress bar when the script is executed.

Reboot when it's done and post a new HijackThis log.

Still there. :tazz:

Do an online virusscan for example here: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Download WinPFind.zip and unzip the contents to the C:\ folder.

Start in Safe Mode Using the F8 method:
  • Restart the computer.
  • As soon as the BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until the boot menu appears.
  • Use the arrow keys to select the Safe Mode menu item.
  • Press the Enter key.
Locate the c:\winpfind\winpfind.exe file and double-click it to run it. Now click the Start Scan button to begin the scan.

When the scan is complete reboot normally and post the WinPFind.txt file (located in the WinPFind folder)

I did as you asked. Heres what i found.

WARNING: not all files found by this scanner are bad. Consult with a knowledgable person before proceeding.

If you see a message in the titlebar saying "Not responding..." you can ignore it. Windows somethimes displays this message due to the high volume of disk I/O. As long as the hard disk light is flashing, the program is still working properly.

The file you uploaded looks harmless.

Let's try and trick the virus.

Find this file: C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache\services.exe
and copy it into this folder:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\Microsoft\security

You should get a prompt asking if you want to replace the existing file.
You do. :tazz:

If this works then you can have HijackThis fix:
O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [explorer] C:\WINDOWS\system32\Microsoft\security\services.exe /RunOnce

Reboot and see if it stays away now.

I tried copying it over that file and i got this message...
"Cannot copy services: It is being used by another person or program. Close any programs that may be using the file and try again."
After the message came up the file appeared with a skull icon in the folder.

Someone from SpyKiller told me to look for a file called WINSTART.BAT

Can you do a Find Files and let me know if you have it.
If so upload it at SpyKiller as well.

In the meantime I'll try and make a newer version of the script that will also replace services.exe
