Hi there,

Im new to meta tags.

I know how to insert them etc...

But i want to know, when you insert a meta tag into your webpage, and then upload it to the web, how long does it take for search engines like google to find the meta tag and add your website to their search engine? :tazz:

There is no specific time frame. It depends on how many people are linking to you (how "important" your site is) and whether your site is optimized for search engines (such as keywords in url, title, body, internal and external links, etc).

I don't know too much about this, but I hope that little bit of information was helpful :tazz:

I have made meta tags for all my pages now,

So now my website will have loads more traffic through google and other serach engines!!!

Well on the meta tag generator you fill in the form, click generate and in the big box at the bottom you copy and paste that code inbertween the <head></head> tags.

After making major changes or updates to a site, resubmit it to Google:

Gamefreak, I think it'll still work if you put it in the <head> section of a regular html page, that seperate area will probably end up putting it there anyways.

Johanna, recently I've heard that google has completely ignored all these submissions for a few years now... :tazz: any truth to that??

It takes Google about two weeks to pick up on changes to my sites. I don't submit them anymore because the Google bots seem pretty regular.
