I currently have Windows media player 9, and was told that 10 was better. I tried to download WMP 10 and it worked. However, during installation (this has happened many times) it freezes at 15%
Please can you help me, I really want 10

It's a good idea to uninstall previous versions whenever possible to reduce the risk of conflicts.
