This is my first time posting to this site,so bear with me please..and thanks in advance for your help! I am doing my best to do the preparation steps to get rid of Winfixer 2005, but I am encountering the following problems:

1. I can't install CWShredder- I get the message C:\Windows\Temporary Internet File\Contents.IE5\OHAV49EN\CWShredder[1].exe is not a valid Win32 application.

2. I can't install Windows Service Pack 1 KB886903. I can download it, but installation fails. I believe the error message was OX643.

3. I did do the scans with ad-aware SE, Spybot S&D. I also have Norton AV on my computer and get regular updates, but NAV doesn't even "see" Winfixer.

4. I downloaded Ewido, but now am not sure if I should run it. Based on your preparation instructions, two anti-virus programs is not a good idea.

Please tell me what direction I should head from here..and MANY THANKS!
