I was wondering why I cant login to battle.net on the US East Gateway for Diablo II. I created a new account and got to naming and choosing my character and thats about it. Once I found a name to use that hasn't been used yet, it opens a window saying "Server Down". Oh and no I don't have any firewall program running that I see. Any suggestions on what I should do?

hm.. this is weird. As a long time d2 player, I've never seen this. Have you tried creating characters on other realms?

Um its just Diablo II, not the expansion. I've tried different realms but nothing seems to work. My firewall and antivirus program are off, because I know sometimes that can block your connection. I played online with my friend at first but then after about an hour and a half my computer crashed because of a virus I had (that is now deleted). If anyone knows what the problem is please help! Oh and I tried to use port forwarding but the settings they had werent the same settings I had. Thanks!
