IF you have an XP SP1 CD you will need to use add / remove to uninstall SP2, you will need to put a tick in show updates

If you have XP SP2 CD then you can insert the XP CD, boot the PC and keep tapping the delete key until it enters set up, change the boot priority to boot from the CD ROM drive first, press F10 to save and exit, type Y to confirm, press enter and it will reboot

Look for press any key to load from CD, press enter then follow the instructions

It should be, Press Enter to install windows

Press F8 for the license agreement

Press D to delete the partition, type L to confirm, press enter, press enter to format, leave it on the default setting fo NTFS

It will take a minute per GB of hard drive

Hi again.....

Go to Add/Remove Programs and put a check in the box next to "Show Updates" at the top of the window, then scroll down in the list. SP2 should be quite near the bottom.

"I see", said the blind man.... :tazz:

Click Start then Run and type c:\windows\$NtServicePackUninstall$\spuninst\spuninst.exe in the Open box then click "Ok". When the Windows XP Service Pack 2 Removal Wizard starts, click "Next".
Follow the instructions on the screen to remove Windows XP SP2.

c:\windows\$NtServicePackUninstall$\spuninst\spuninst.exe refers to a location unavailable, it could be on a hardrive or network. Check to makesure that the disk is properly inserted . . . .
