Thanks for replying!

I am trying to install the free AVG Anti-Virus, but it says i need a sales number, but i never recieved an email with this number in it....

what do i do to be able to install??

i need an anti virus since Norton isn't responding and causes my computer to hang every time i run it

you know, that version of AVG is free anyway. I believe you fill out a form at the time of download with your email, then they send you the code. so I'd just download it again, or wait for a while. how long ago did you download it?

well without an activation code, even if you ran the install right now, it won't install fully without asking you for a code. AVG might be having a mail problem. did you download it from the right place and did you have to fill in the form before you downloaded?

i had alot of trouble that day with my comp...so i cant remember filling in a form...its possible that i didnt

also do you have any idea why my computer freezes every time i try to run Norton?

I went to that link^ and Clicked on "AVG 7.0 for Windows" and it came up with the file download straight away

there was nothing mentioned about a form

what do i do?

norton uses a lot of system resources. if I had win 98 I wouldn't install norton at all. I only have it on my speedy xp pro system.

run the program you downloaded from the link I gave you. I have sources saying that you don't need a key for the free avg anymore. how odd... they had the sales numbering system back when I was using it.

Ok I downloaded AVG again...and i still have the problem with the license number...

what do i do?
