Hello, I downloaded and ran Cleanup! on my Computer (Windows XP Home). It deleted an incredible 1,1 GB of data. At the end, Windows caused an "lsass.exe" problem that shut down my computer.
Now I cannot restart it: the restart checks my memory, then says (all in German, so I won't reproduce the exact messahe here) that my configuration is bad. I can boot normally, in the last functioning version, or in safe mode - but all leads to the same bad result: the XP boot image appears, afterwards the screen goes blank and only the mouse pointer is visible, and can actually be moved. But nothing else works, and I have to shut down using the reset button.
Does anyone know what's the problem and how I can fix it? Thank you very much in advance,
Peter

You will need your windows CD for this!

not sure of the specific problem, but when you get to that screen where you can see the cursor hit Ctrl + Alt + Del and then go to File >> New Task
and type: sfc /scannow

if/when you are prompted for the windows CD you may insert it, then let it run its course. You will not be prompted when the scan is complete, but when the scan appears to be finished, (disappears) reboot your computer.
