Everytime I open an IM window I get the following error: "AOL Instant Messanger enountered a problem and needs to xlose. We are sorry for the inconvenience". Then the program terminates. I am not sure what happened. I ran Ad aware last night before I went to bed and this morning I started AIM and it has been doing this ever since. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but I get the same problem. I ran hijack this and this is what I got:

I was actually able to repair this problem shortly after I posted this help message. Download hijackthis at http://www.majorgeek...wnload3155.html. Post what it finds here. I had a nasty piece of spyware on mine that was causing it. If I remember correctly it was one of those so called handy search bars that get installed on your machine.

well here's the thing...i dont think it's spyware because i have a scam blocker/pop up blocker thing...so idk...i went to the www.aim.com site...and it said something about earthlink i have it installed...but i couldn't quite comprehend it...so if anyone knows...please let me know....and as for u ezwind...private message me with more info
