DSL/ADSL, Cable and T3 are all forms of broadband. It just a matter of speed, as a rough guide, ADSL=20*Dial-up, Cable=100*Dial-up, T3=Blink and you'll miss it

I am getting a new ISP.
How do I know what it is?
It says it is broadband -and you said that includes all of them - so I get that part.
The internet access is from my cable TV provider (adelphia) I don't have it yet, though - still waiting for my modem to arrive.
On their homepage that I ordered the service through it says high speed internet broadband and then DSL/Cable.
I am really not this dense - just on this topic. LOL
When someone asks me what kind of connection I have I want to be able to tell them without looking stupid

Hey Becca77, Welcome to G2G
Adelphia Powerlink is a BroadBand Service that uses Cable as a transportation medium.
ADSL and Cable are broadband services aimed at the home user.
T3 is a connection method we use in the corporate world.
Here is a good definition of Broadband
