Hi

I was surfing the 'net last night, when my pc crashed out on me.

It rebooted, and when it came to the "check disk" part on loading up, failed at about 70%. I rebooted, and this time clicked the button when it offers the opportunity so skip the test. I was presented with the "welcome" blue screen, and the PC only finally loads to my desktop by using ctrl/alt/del

I have used countless programs to check this out and it still happens.

The error messages read:

the \pagefile.sys entry contains a non valid link
the size of the \recycled\dc3.tmp entry is not valid
\recycled\dc3.tmp is cross linked on allocation unit 354189

WHen I right click on the recycle bin, it asks if I want to "delete these 2 items" - I click "yes" and the recycle sound plays, but the items are still there. However, I have navigated to the "recycled" folder, but no files appear listed.

I've used all kinds of virus software, and spyware to no avail.

I can't use the check disk facility in windows, as it requires me to reboot, and that just won't work.

Any ideas please?!? I'm frantic. I can't find anything on this.
