Just a little background. My PC was having all sorts of problems before, any time I would try to do more than one thisng at a time (I.E. Listen to music while surfing the net or any other combination of tasks) I would get a BSoD. It was starting to happen so frequently that I finally got fed up, backed up what i couldn't live without and reimaged my PC.

I then began loading Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D when everything was loaded again. But now it was just acting wierder. Tasks kept freezing, installations would not complete unless they were the first tasks performed after a reboot. And even worse, I could not open Taskman or MSconfig, they would close as soon as they were opened. So after getting Ad-Aware and Spybot installed I ran the updates and scanned removing what they found. The problem persisted. So i downloaded HijackThis. And just like Taskman and MSconfig.....it closed as soon as it was opened.

So I downloaded some other tools, Cleanup, CWShredder and Ewido. Cleanup froze after running for more than a few minutes. CWShredder found one object and removed it. Ewido updated and scanned cleaning/removing everything it could except for something effecting MSConfig32.exe.

I booted into safe mode and ran everything again. In Safe Mode I was able to run everything normally (TaskMan, msconfig, Cleanup, etc...). Everything ran perfectly. I boot into normal mode now and can run Taskman, msconfig and I'm having no issue with things freezing.

So that is where I am at now. i have run all windows updates up to SP2 (I want to make sure everything is good before I upgrade to that). So here's the Hijack log file I was hoping could get reviewed so I know if I'm cleaned out or not.

Thanks.

Download: DelDomains.inf
Should the link above display the text instead of downloading the file, then copy & paste the text into notepad and save the file as DellDomains.inf
To use: right-click and select: Install (no need to restart)
Note: This will remove all entries in the "Trusted Zone" and "Ranges" also.

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Compaq32 Service Drivers] msconfig32.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\RunServices: [Compaq32 Service Drivers] msconfig32.exe

O23 - Service: Performance Logs (Perfhmon) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\System32\Perfhmon.exe (file missing)

Click Start > Run type services.msc > OK
In the list of services find:
Performance Logs (Perfhmon)
Rightclick that line and choose Properties.
On the General tab Stop and set the service to disabled.
In HijackThis click Config > Misc Tools > Delete an NT service
In the dialog box paste: Perfhmon

Then reboot and post a new HijackThis log.

I actually ended up removing the references to msconfig32.exe before after doing some reasearch so when I went into HJT again these entries were no longer there:

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Compaq32 Service Drivers] msconfig32.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\RunServices: [Compaq32 Service Drivers] msconfig32.exe

here is my new log file:
