Now to explain the problems... extremely slow Internet connection via cable modem. Slow to the point where I am timed out of pages and/or often have to unplug the power from the cable modem and re-plug it in to get connected quicker.
I use Firefox, have had SpywareBlaster, Spybot S&D, AdAware, and Microsoft anti-Spyware installed on my computer for quite sometime and just now within the past two weeks have I run across problems that I cannot fix. My AdAware and MS Anti-Spyware come back as clean. However, when I run Spybot S&D I get the same problem as listed above "Magic Control Agent" it seems to be deepl in the registry somewhere. I fix it and without fail EVERY time I restart and re-scan, the exact same problem shows up.
I am curious since the problem appears to have the words Software/LanConfig in the iinformation from Spybot S&D. Could this have any reason as to why my connection iis so slow???
Also the bottom entry from the HJT log... says something about a missing file. Is this is a problem??? I notice it has the words Intel in there and coincidentally, when I go to my control panel on my computer I get an error pop up box from Intel® PROset saying "Resources are not available". I have NO idea what this means!!!!
Also I ran the CleanUp as described here and it did clean up a lot of temp internet files, but I noticed since I restarted after that, my McAfee VirusScan, Firewall, and Privacy Service is no longer enabled and it says I have to verify my subscription. Unfortunatley, I can't because my connection is too slow to get on to McAfee website.
Also I was unable to use WinSockFix. After I downloaded and saved to desktop, when I click on it is says it's not a valid Win32 application.
So, I am sorry for this long-winded message here. I am very computer-illiterate, so I an trying to explain things as best and detailed as I can... any help and details as to what you think I can do to get my computer running again normally would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
