I haven't run into this problem before:

I have monitor 'A' and pc 'A' which when connected doesn't have a video signal after working fine together for 2 years.
Now for the fun--when i hook monitor 'A' to any other pc, it works just fine.
when i hook pc'A' to any other monitor, it works just fine.

Why won't these two talk to each other? Do they need a divorce lawyer? or just counseling?

Obviously the adapter checks out OK and the drivers for the monitor automatically load.

Any ideas could save me a call to dell for a replacement part.

the divorce lawyer part sounds like the most easily explained problem right now......

when you hook monitor A to pc B do you use monitor A's video cable? or monitor B's?

same when you hook PC A to monitor B?
