weird system beep

Hello
I'm running XP Home with XP office on a a dell laptop and recently, I've been getting this weird beep when I receive mail from outlook and when i adjust the volume. The beep happens even when the computer is muted. What is it and how do I get rid of it?

Run the programme, click + next to computer then click computer

Click report then quick report then plain text, save the file, remove computer / user and network address details, then paste the report in to a reply here
