when i scandisk /all c: there is it went on scndisk, but my pc almosts hangs i and i saw some bad cluster.. how can i fix it.. my os is ME... pliss help

Run scandisk and defrag from Safe Mode (recommended method)..

Don't let a few bad clusters or sectors worry you. Most hdd's have them.. It's when a scandisk or defrag gets hung up for a peiod of time trying to read or recover that you had better start pricing out new hdd's!!

even though im in the processing of formating my diskdrive??? i red that its trying to rcover and allocate resources.... how can i defrag it??? is formatting it, can solve my problem?? thanks for the reply....

What size hard-drive??

i think almost 3 yrs. and has a size of 40gb

i think its the same as old. but when some downloaded files can be installed but cannot be open?? and i shut shut my my pc, i saw runtime error... do you think the problem is in my computer?? thanks again for replying....

What are the programs?? What happens when you try to open them??

What is the "runtime" error??

More likely a problem with Windows or the software!!
