While cleaning up malware and moving files to a different drive, I somehow messed up authorizations on my XP machine. I now get errors from many applications that have shared files, saying they are locked or I don't have proper permissions. For example, I couldn't get itunes to start. After reinstalling, it still gives me a dialog that says "There was an error storing your authorization information on this computer. You do not have enough access privaledges for this operation." My wife also says she can no longer access her e-mail using outlook.

Do you have XP Pro or Home?
Also, are you logged in as an Adminstrator?

Try this. You will have to go in Safe Mode.
