Weird problem that i have been experiencing. I reinstalled windows twice and this seems to pop up soon after the installation. Basically, its in dos mode and its checking the cd-roms for any bootable media and then the floppy. Right after this its supposed to load windows, but it doesn't. Instead Y(infinity sign)Y(infinity sign) comes up. Its like this everytime. So I decided to stick in my winxp cd, then when it asked me to boot, i forgot to press a button and instead of the Y(infinity sign)Y(infinity sign), its had these weird colored blocks here and there, i even saw a smily face of some sort.

Well, i have a sata card and a maxtor 250gb harddrive, ntfs. Any help?

Have you had this experience all the time with your hard drive hooked up to the SATA card?
