Well I just did a windows repair.

Then I installed SP2 from downloading
offa microsoft.com the site.

Then, my mouse nor my keyboard
is working after I rebooted.

It works all the while it's before the
boot screen, then after it doesnt work.

( Boot screen as in, the WXP logo and
the progress bar, with black bg etc.. )

Cheers for any help :tazz:

EDIT
Searched this forum, read about
corrupt registry..They gave me a
link on how to solve this, i'll try it
out and get back to you all, thanks.

I am not certain that the process in the KB article in your link will address your issue.

PS2 or USB keyboard? Do you have access to a different keyboard?

I assume that you cannot load in safe mode?

The way I would most likely handle it is to remove the keyboard in device manager and reboot, allowing Windows to reinstall

Does the USB keyboard/mouse while in safe mode? Hit F8 repeatedly once you turn on your computer until a screen appears letting you choose to boot into safe mode. Choose SAFE MODE W/ NETWORKING.

You need to plug in a normal PS/2 keyboard so that you can log into windows, then plug in your USB keyboard, let windows recognize it, then unplug the PS/2 keyboard and reboot and you should be fine. Same goes for the USB mouse.
