Run Hijack this making sure your internet connection is not on. Put a check mark next to these items and these items only.

R3 - URLSearchHook: HyperSearchHook - {CAABD4D7-3ABC-4893-911F-8E3FFC0DE309} - (no file)

O2 - BHO: jimmyhelp.CBrowserHelper - {3B19D8D9-86F6-46E4-8DCC-161F51EBD0DE} - C:\WINDOWS\amaqgqooi.dll
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {D5677EE0-1B45-572F-ACCF-72B208CF1521} - C:\DOCUME~1\PHILCA~1.CAR\APPLIC~1\ERRORC~1\wave htm.exe

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [fiveinter] C:\DOCUME~1\LOCALS~1.NTA\APPLIC~1\AXISSE~1\eggsmpeg.exe

O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_05\bin\npjpi142_05.dll

Reboot into safe mode - lightly tap the F8 button on reboot.

Get rid of these files:

C:\WINDOWS\amaqgqooi.dll
C:\DOCUME~1\PHILCA~1.CAR\APPLIC~1\ERRORC~1
C:\DOCUME~1\LOCALS~1.NTA\APPLIC~1\AXISSE~1\

Clean out your temp files. Reboot and post a fresh log. :tazz:

The following are not necessarily spyware/malware, but we suggest you place a check mark next to the following entries, as these programs may be taking up system resources.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SunJavaUpdateSched] C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_05\bin\jusched.exe
(Description: Sun Java update scheduler. Checks for updates. Not necessary. Removing this entry will free up a small amount of system resources.)

O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Office.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\OSA.EXE
(Description: Microsoft Office startup assistant. Not necessary. Removing this entry will free up a significant amount of system resources.)

O4 - Global Startup: WinZip Quick Pick.lnk = C:\Program Files\WinZip\WZQKPICK.EXE
(Description: WinZip system tray application. Not necessary. Removing this entry will free up a small amount of system resources.)

Congratulations! Your system is CLEAN :tazz:

How do you prevent spyware from being installed again? We strongly recommend installing SpywareBlaster (it's free for personal use) Click Here.

Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests.
Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.
Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.
Consumes no system resources.

Download, run, check for updates, download updates, select all, protect against checked. All done. Check for updates every couple of weeks. If you have any errors running the program like a missing file see the link at the bottom of the javacool page.

It's also very important to keep your system up to date to avoid unnecessary security risks. Click Here to make sure that you have the latest patches for Windows.

These next two steps are optional, but will provide the greatest protection.
1. Use ANY browser besides Internet Explorer, almost every exploit is crafted to take advantage of an IE weakness. We usually recommend FireFox Posted Image.
2. Install Sun's Java. It's much more secure than Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine .

It's okay to delete the Hijack This folder if everything is working okay.

After doing all these, your system will be thoroughly protected from future threats. ;)

Thanks again for your help.

I am about to turn off system restore, sweep with Spybot S & D, SpySweeper, download SpywareBlaster and sweep with that as well and then create a clear restore point.

Cheers again

Spyware blaster just prevents the bad stuff from infecting your system. I just use adaware and spyware blaster and an anti-viral to keep my machine clean. I also use firefox. If you haven't tried it, I urge you to. I haven't had one pop-up in more than six months. Good luck and if you ever need help again, just hollar. :tazz:
