Can someone please tell me how to convert a .wvx file into a .wmv?

There is a video on a news site I want to download but it is a .wvx. I've saved as and changed it to .wmv .. but everytime I try to play it says the file is empty.

I've even found the .wmv url .. but no matter what, it saves as a .wvx file to my computer.

Once you get permission from the news company to copy their video you could use the program called "Camtasia Studio", what it does is record what is on your screen.

get it at http://www.techsmith.com/
