Hi

Sorry to post again but there are still problems with the computer and some of the things you asked to remove are returning. Had a look to see if there was anything else. In MSCONFIG, NvCpl keeps coming back, as does msmsgs, realone is also being persistant, ctfmon is on the list twice but I think this is legit, just curious as to why there are 2 running? There was also an application, avupdate.exe located at C:\avupdate.exe, it was also showing up in zone alarm so I figure it must be installed somewhere but it ain't in add/remove progs, not sure what to do with that.

Here's another log if someone could look at it

much appreciated

Hi,

I've been having similar problems with a clients machine. I've run SpyBot, Adaware, and PestPatrol and they don't detect it.

I noticed the realone.exe in the process list of task manager and terminated the process. My problems went away instantly.

It turns out (i think) that realone.exe is a hidden file in c:\windows\system32.

Try deleting (or renaming it) and see if it helps.

Hi Paul

Thanks for the reply, I'm waiting for my friend to try and clean up her computer a bit before getting another hijackthis log from her.

I have to clear realone from my startup list quite a bit, its very persistant!! Hope your client gets fixed up soon ;)
