New to this forum. Trying to clean up a friend's computer. Tried to follow steps in "Please Start Here." I was able to download and run Adaware and CWShredder, but after multiple attempts, cannot install Spybot or run scans suggested by Trend or Panda. I am posting a HijackThis log to see if something is preventing these programs from running. But first a question. The hard drive has only about 1 GB of 8 left. Would it help to do a defrag first? Is 1 GB enough space for these programs?

Here's the log:

Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1
