I am building a computer and i have a:

Asus A8V-E Deluxe w/ DualDDR400, 7.1 Audio, Gigabit Lan + WiFi-g, SATA, PCI-E x16

i am thinking of getting the:

-Byte 1GB DDR 400MHz PC-3200 168 Pins Memory

cause its on sale at best buy for 129.99 plus i work there so i can get a good discount...

i was wondering if the brand name for the memory matters? and should i buy it? I've never heard of "Byte" brand

There isn't anything wrong with using value ram...but I would suggest doing some investigation to assure it is compatible with your motherboard, if possible. Since you work at Best Buy, you should know about the manufacturer's warranty. Should you buy it or not? That is entirely up to you to decide.
