Hello danny :tazz:

Since i see your running IE, lets give this a try and see if that gets it.

Go to tools/internet options/general tab and clear your cookies and the tab delete files beside it click it and let it do its thing. On the history tab push clear history, then go to the content tab and under personal information push the auto complete tab press clear forms.

After that please try this and see if it helps.

Go into start/all programs/accessories/system tools/click on disk cleanup make sure downloaded program files, temporary internet files, temporary files and recycle bin are all ticked. Hit ok and then the clean up will begin, sometimes this takes a few minutes depends how long since the last job has been ran.

Defrag:

Same way to get to the defrag as you used to get to disk cleanup. When you click on disk defrag a box will open, click on defragment the defrag will begin, again the time it takes will depend on how long since it’s been done.

Let me know if that helps. :)

Hi Danny :tazz:

Ok lets try this shall we? and let's see what it does.

Please RIGHT-CLICK HERE to download Silent Runner's.
  • Save it to the desktop.
  • Run Silent Runner's by doubleclicking the "Silent Runners" icon on your desktop.
  • You will receive a prompt:
    • Do you want to skip supplementary searches?
      click NO
  • You will see a text file appear on the desktop - it's not done, let it run (it won't appear to be doing anything!)
  • Once you receive the prompt All Done!, open the text file on the desktop, copy that entire log, and paste it here.
*NOTE* If you receive any warning message about scripts, please choose to allow the script to run.

Sure. When I visit a web page and click on a link I have to press the back button a few times to go back to the last page I saw. The page I visit has something to do with it. I'll press the drop down arrow next to the back button and there will be 5 links in front of the last thing i visited. For instance, if im on monster.com and I check the drop down arrow it will say http://ads.monster.c...tml.ng/site=mon If I got to msnbc.com and check the drop arrow it says http://view.admt/cnt/iview/msnnkcb
Virtually every website does this with different variations. I just hate hitting the back button all the time like that. What do you think the problem is? It's almost like some bad spyware or virus.

Ok I'm pretty sure there is nothing in this log spyware related anymore, lets just see for sure, please download and run this tool and see what it shows us.

Please download Rootkit Revealer (link is at the very bottom of the page)
  • Unzip it to your desktop.
  • Open the rootkitrevealer folder and double-click rootkitrevealer.exe
  • Click the Scan button (bottom right)
  • It may take a while to scan (don't do anything while it's running)
  • When it's done, go up to File > Save. Choose to save it to your desktop.
  • Open rootkitrevealer.txt on your desktop and copy the entire contents and paste them here

Hi again danny :tazz:

Interesting results on that last scan.

Can you do me a favour?

I need you to have a file submitted that scan showed.

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Aim\ahrmkyqj\Seedsofh8\urlcache\aim1.tmp <---This file

Can you send it here please to have it looked at.

[email protected]

He will get ahold of me and let me know what he finds.

Put in the title file for submission for John_L at g2g.

That way he wont skid it as spam.

Hi Danny :)

I think i just clued in to what you were saying here. :tazz:

That is supposed to happen. Lets just try something shall we so i can confirm my suspicions.

Open up a webpage, google.com for instance, once that page is open try loading another page, then another. Tell me then if the same thing is happening. Then close your browser, reopen it and let me know what that little arrow shows you.

It doesn't do this on all websites. I didn't have a back button problem on google.com or weather.com I went to cnn.com and didn't have a problem. Also went to foxnews.com But it did happen when I went to msnbc.com and monster.com It's really bad on monster.com I'll do a search there and then click the little arrow and it has like 10 address before the last page I was on. So I would either have to press the back button 10 times to get to the last page I was at or drop down the little arrow, go down ten spots and select the last page I was on. For a second there I thought it maybe was with AdAware I was running cause it blocks popups. But msnbc and monster didn't have any popups to be blocked so I don't know. Hope this helps.
