ive come accross some very strange entries in my add/remove programs list.

what are these? if my computer was running properly, i would say windows updates and patches, but the problem with that is i'm unable to view the windows update page.

any ideas?

They are normal Windows updates. They are visible in add/remove programs because you have the 'show updates' check-box ticked.
