Hello,

I originally posted this problem in Hardware/peripherals cos I thought I couldn't install printer only it seems it may not be the printer but the software with it. The message I got on screen after I had inserted C.D. was "16 BIT WINDOWS SUBSYSTEM... ..........C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC\N.T. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and microsoft windows applications. Choose close to terminate the application". (There was also an ignore button but nothing happened when I clicked it).
I've looked under C:\windows etc autoexec\n.t. but can't find the file path there.
(Not sure if that is the correct term, hope you know what I mean)
I have also had the same problem with a couple of other C.D's I've tried to install which were fine when I had WinME.

My post seems to have vanished from the original place I had it, why is this?

Any help much appreciated.

The instructions from Microsoft say to expand the files: the person who posted the thread said you could download them directly.
