Yupsearch and other assoc. "friends"

Like, many other people who have put up posts about yupsearch, I was an idiot and downloaded a link that I received from a friend on AIM :tazz: Now I have a yupsearch tool bar that I cannot get rid of, and a plethora of popup problems.

I ran Norton, Adaware, Spybot, CWShredder, Ewido, and Trojan Hunter. I have Microsoft Update, and keep it updated. While the popups go away for a short period of time, they all come back, the darn toolbar is still there.

Hi eayers,

We will run a couple removal tools and then pick up what's left..

Please download Aimfix from here to your desktop and run it.

Next, please download LQfix.exe from one of the following locations:
  • http://www.downloads.subratam.org/LQfix.exe
    http://miekiemoes.geekstogo.com/tools/LQfix.exe

  • Save it to your desktop.
  • Double-Click LQfix.exe and click Next > Next > Install.
  • Leave the default settings, if you change them, the fix will Fail!
  • You need an active Internet Connection, so make sure your you're not blocking any connection now.
  • Now make sure the "Launch LQfix" box is checked.
  • Click the Finish button, after clicking the Finish button the fix will start.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts.
  • Your system will reboot afterwards.
  • Please be patient after the reboot, there is a script running in the background that needs to complete.
Then do a scan with HiJackThis and post a new log by using Add Reply
