I have been having several problems with my desktop PC. Ono problem is that the computer has been running very sluggishly. I have downloaded all of the recommended downloads - including The Cleaner, HouseCall and Ad-Aware SE. I have run all of these, including Ad-Aware on each of the users (for a total of four times). Many problems were discovered and fixed - and I really appreciate Geeks To Go's advice on these things! Nonetheless, I am continuing to have some difficulties. I think part of the slow speed of the computer is several pop-ups that I cannot get to delete (despite running all of these programs). Every time internet explorer is opened, a tool bar appears on the bottom part of the screen. This tool bar cannot be deleted and I have no idea how it was aquired. It is a nuisance. In addition, I have a file called "proc start" that appears in under Start Up in the System Configuration tool every time a user logs on. I do not know if these two are related, but I am thinking that they are.
