invalid backweb application pop up [RESOLVED]

Invlaid Back Web Application ID "19405761" keeps popping up. From the entries here, it seems it's remnants that I need help removing. Here is my Hijack This log:

YES - the Backweb fragment is gone. Thanks. Now I think I have a SASSER problem but will work through that using my regular software. These stupid worms and viruses are driving me crazy! I appreciate your help

I started sending bogus emails to other id's. For example I received SPAM like emails at my work email from my home address. The system also started slowing down dramatically. I also saw the file LSASS.EXE floating around my system although that may be legitimate for some other application. I ran SPYBOT and Norton Antivirus but they didn't find anything. The system is very slow at start-up too which is new. Any thoughts?

Hi, nothing wrong with lsass.exe.. that one is legit.
As you say that you're getting bogus mails from yourself. That doesn't mean that you are infected though. It could be possible that one of your friends is infected and has your mailaddress in their addressbook. So it uses also those addresses to send worms.

Your system slowdown can be caused by Norton. This is a common issue.
Also defragment your disk.

Thanks very much. Norton is a hog - it's always at the top of memory users. I'll degrag the disk although our home computer isn't too bad. I appreciate your assistance!

Well, a better alternative than Norton is NOD32, which isn't a resource hog and a great scanner. :tazz:
