During all of the assistance that I received when posting HiJack This logs, I began to have this error message that does not go away. I have tried the "Detect and Repair" from within Outlook. I'm wondering if anyone can help me repair this file.
Error message below...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The add-in "C:\WINDOWS\system32\REDEMP~1.DLL" could not be installed or loaded. This problem may be resolved by using Detect and Repair on the Help menu. Unable to load "C:\WINDOWS\system32\REDEMP~DLL". You may be out of memory, or of system resources, or missing a .dll file.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thank you!

Also, one person suggested running Start --> Run --> sfc /scannow which I did and inserted my Windows XP cd and it acted like it was repairing some things but it did not fix the error mentioned above.
Thanks!

Is any help available on this Outlook topic?
I hope someone might be able to help me.

Looks like you may have had Redemption installed:
http://www.dimastr.com/redemption/

Is that correct?

To my knowledge, I have never had Redemption installed intentionally by me. But if I need it, I can re-download it or re-install it. I do not recognize it by its name.

That's kinda what I assumed. Let's take another look at the HJT log for that user. :tazz:

Here's the log... I had been doing some e-mails with the guy on the Redemption site but he has not helped me. He asked me to delete the file located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Addin\Redemption.edf. But I didn't have a file named that. I had a file in that directory named... Redemp~1.ecf. It looks to me like something changed the file name and didn't allow for long file names and truncated it to the old DOS method of only 8 characters. But I deleted it anyway. And the error still pops up. So now the file is gone and I thought afterward that I might have been able to rename it to Redemption.ecf and fix it. Anyway... here is the log you requested. I still have the error.
