How do i get the JPEG icon back ?

1. Where is it missing from?
2. When did it disappear?
3. Is it consistently messed up in all the places it appears?
4. have you tried a System Restore?
5. Have you got any clues to why you lost it in the first place?

Hi Space-Man!

Go to START-->CONTROL PANEL. Double click on FOLDER OPTIONS. Click on the FILE TYPES tab. Scroll down the list of items listed in the box below the heading REGISTERED FILE TYPES until you find JPEG. Once you find it, left click on it once to highlight it and then click ADVANCED button. Then click on the CHANGE ICON button and look through the list of possible icons and select the once you want and hit OK.
