CD burner

CD burner wont stay shut while i try to burn a cd. The tray will open and shut constantly and NERO tells me to insert blank media.there is blank media in the drive, Why does this happen?

Hi lucien!

Go into the DEVICE MANAGER (Right click MY COMPUTER, click on PROPERTIES, click on the HARDWARE tab and then click the DEVICE MANAGER button) and click the '+' symbol next DVD/CD-ROM driver, right click on your CD Burner and choose UNINSTALL and then reboot your computer and let windows reinstall the drivers for it.
