I have a windows 98 system which has not display in control panel. I has a picture of a monitor that you would think would be it and it doesnt open. Also when you right click on the desktop and click properties nothing happens. I have no way of setting resolution on this pc. It has a Rage 3d pro that i have downloaded a new driver for but doesnt have a onboard video. Can anyone help with this.

Try uninstalling the video driver in the device manager. Then reboot, the harware wizard should detect it and reinstall. See if that helps.

I have uninstalled it and reinstalled. I will try that once more.

Removed from Device and rebooted. All file put back. And still can not set screen resolution.

Maybe you have the wrong video driver installed. Try Everest to help identify your video chip, and the driver needed.
