I have been having problems with Winfixer opening "new pages" in my browser. Here are the URL's of some of them that I saved:

&http://www.winfixer....&ed=2&ex=1&ax=1

&http://www.perfectma...hp/indexonl.asp

&http://oas-central.r.../cache_bust@x03

They all seem to be similar. I have gone through all of the steps in the beginners forum. Everything checked out except CWShredder keeps crashing on reboot. It always reports "VX2.Look2Me" removed.....and then crashes on reboot. I normally run several spyware programs - some all the time and some for occasional sweeps. I use/have used Spybot, PestPatrol, Spyware Doctor, Spy Sweeper and always have Trend Micro Internet Security running. I have also installed and scanned with Ewido but uninstalled as per the forum instructions as I already am running a virus scanner (Trend Micro). All temp files have been cleaned with Windows Washer. I have read many other HTJ logs and solutions on this site and I think I see the problems in mine but figured I would leave it to the pros and maybe I can learn enough as we go to help others in the future. Thanks in advance and here is my log:

Welcome to GTG.

Did you also try running Ad-aware?

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should 'not' have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Download KillBox http://www.greyknigh...spy/KillBox.exe. Run KillBox and check the box that says 'End Explorer Shell While Killing File'. Next click on 'Delete on Reboot'. Right click and copy the below lines. Go back to KillBox. Go to File->Paste from Clipboard and then hit the button with a red circle and white X. Confirm to delete and when asked if you want to reboot, say Yes:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\vtsqq.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\qqcuwexd.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\mnqlbyhg.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\qqstv.*

If you get a PendingOperations message, just close it and restart your computer manually.

Please download VundoFix.exe at http://www.atribune....ds/VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

* Double-click VundoFix.exe to extract the files.
* After the files are extracted, please reboot your computer into Safe Mode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key (or F5 in some machines) until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.
* Once in safe mode open the VundoFix folder and doubleclick on KillVundo.bat
* Please type the following file path (make sure to enter it exactly as below!):

C:\WINDOWS\system32\jkhfd.dll

* Press Enter, then press the F6 key, then press Enter one more time to continue with the fix.
* When asked for a second path, enter -> C:\WINDOWS\system32\dfhkj.*
* Press Enter, then press the F6 key, then press Enter one more time to continue with the fix.
* The fix will run then HijackThis will open.
* In HijackThis, please place a check next to the following items and click FIX CHECKED:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {00DBDAC8-4691-4797-8E6A-7C6AB89BC441} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\vtsqq.dll
O2 - BHO: Bho - {56DC7D7A-F319-46d6-B2F8-D73638D3D50D} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\qqcuwexd.dll
O2 - BHO: MSEvents Object - {6DD0BC06-4719-4BA3-BEBC-FBAE6A448152} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\jkhfd.dll
O2 - BHO: Bho - {900CA02A-990F-4f0d-8E8E-28A3F82F08D8} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\mnqlbyhg.dll
O20 - Winlogon Notify: jkhfd - C:\WINDOWS\system32\jkhfd.dll
O20 - Winlogon Notify: vtsqq - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\vtsqq.dll

* After you have fixed these items, close Hijackthis and Press any key to Force a reboot of your computer.
* Pressing any key will cause a 'Blue Screen of Death' this is normal, do not worry!
* Once your machine reboots please continue with the instructions below.

Download and install CleanUp! http://www.greyknigh...spy/CleanUp.exe

Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
Set the program up as follows:
Click 'Options...'
Move the arrow down to 'Custom CleanUp!'
Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):

* Empty Recycle Bins
* Delete Cookies
* Delete Prefetch files
* Cleanup! All Users

Click OK. Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.
It may ask you to reboot at the end, click NO.

Then, please run an online virus scan at ActiveScan http://www.pandasoft.../activescan.htm

Copy the results of the ActiveScan and paste them here along with a new HijackThis log and the vundofix.txt file from the vundofix folder into this topic.

Thanks for the really fast response Greyknight17!!

FYI - Yes, I had run Adware before posting. I did everything in the "Before you post...." list.
Everything went smooth with your instructions except that while in Safe Mode, a couple of the lines you marked for deletion in HJT were not there.....seems that Killbox took them out already.

Here are the new HTJ log and Vundofix.txt files. Have not run Pandascan yet but will over the weekend.

Run the Panda scan and post the log here when you are ready.

As far as the HijackThis log goes:

Your log is clean.

To help prevent future spyware installations/infections, please read the Anti-Spyware Tutorial and use the tools provided.

Just give me the Panda log on the weekend...

So far, so good. No problems since we did the fixes last night. One question though...why did Panda still detect vtsqq.dll again? We got rid of it right?

Sorry about that. Overlooked that line (thought they were all disinfected :tazz:). OK, this should get rid of it:

Download KillBox http://www.greyknigh...spy/KillBox.exe. Run KillBox and check the box that says 'End Explorer Shell While Killing File'. Next click on 'Delete on Reboot'. Right click and copy the below lines. Go back to KillBox. Go to File->Paste from Clipboard and then hit the button with a red circle and white X. Confirm to delete and when asked if you want to reboot, say Yes:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\vtsqq.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\qqstv.*

If you get a PendingOperations message, just close it and restart your computer manually.

Restart. Run a new Panda scan if you want to make sure nothing else returns (besides the harmless registry entry).
