Hi everyone! HELP!!! I have norton, etc.. and have had since SUNDAY the virus alert as follows:
Object name: c:\WINDOWS\system32\awvvv.dll
Virus name: Trojan.Vundo
Action Taken: Unable to repair this file

then after clicking ok I get the same only
Action Taken: Access to the file was denied.

Are the instructions below generic ones or since mine is in the awvvv.dll do I do something different?

I am going to remove the wild Tangent and the viewpoint--alwasy wondered what that was...

HELP!!! This has been since Sunday and Symantec keeps saying wait another 24 hours.

THANKS

Welcome to GTG.

Please do not post your log in someone else's topic. I split up your post and made a new topic for you here.

Some of the fixes will be the same, but there will be some slight differences in most cases, so we recommend that each user post their own logs.

Please read the first link in my signature and follow the steps outlined there. When you are ready, post the HijackThis log here.
