Hey guys,

I just bought an abit aa8-3rd eye mobo, however i got everything booting up power-wise but when it comes to the bios i can't make choices because it locks up when i type y / n in certain areas.. Please help i have no clue what the problem is. *Note* I took a partitioned hd from my old computer into this one (quantum fireball very old HD came with my dell back in 2000) Any suggestions on how to stop hanging up?

Sys. Config.

Abit AA8- 3rd Eye (LGA775, 925X Chipset)
Intel 3.0 ghz 2mb l2 cache 64bit
30 Gb Quantum fireball HD
512 Crucial DDR2 Ram 533mghz
500 Watt Ultra PSU
SONY Dvd-rom

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks...

First the lock ups in bios. did you clear the cmos and load the bios defaults? If not do so and see if the problem continues.

Now the hardrive, you need to format and reinstall the OS because of changing motherboards,
Did you do so?

Report your voltages and temps from bios if possible.

Run Memtest86 on the ram and report back what you find
