Go to Office update

http://office.micros...te/default.aspx

If it downloads from here but does not install, it will have the option to look for larger files which do not require the installation discs

When you installed Office, did you choose complete install, and did you leave the installation files on the PC

Download the update manually (save it to your desktop) and run it yourself.

You'll probably see a message appear about being unable to do something and asking you to cancel, ignore or retry. Click Ignore. The patch should then go on with no problem and appear as installed when you next go to Office Update.

For some reason some of the Office Updates don't seem to like it when you have XP SP2 installed.

There's usually a "More Information" link which takes you to a page on Microsoft's site. From there is a manual download link.

You can download this update from this link:

Office 2003 SP2

The file is at the bottom of the page and I would recommend the Full file download.
