Ok well on my grandmas PC(Windows 98) you can rename a file changing the file extension and it will actually change, not just edit the name.
On my PC(Windows XP) when i edit the file extension it just renames the file, not actually changing the extension.
Can anyone help me to make it so its like the Windows 98 way. I really need this :tazz:

Open My Computer
  • Click Tools and select Folder Options
  • Click the View tab
  • Clear the check box next to "Hide Extensions for Known File Types"
  • Click OK twice
That should set it up the way you'd like.
