Hi there,

I really hope someone can help with this problem.

I've been playing videos in WM9 without any problems until today.

Now you get the audio, but only little snippets of video, then the screen goes blank.

I'v completely reinstalled WM9 but no change.

I did install a piece of software earlier, called TV Tool, but it didn't really do what I wanted to do so I uninstalled it. I've also run Registry Fix, which found a few invalid entries, as well as clean up, and CW shredder.

I'd be really grateful for any help you can provide me.

Thanks!!!!

I'd also try downloading another player and see if the same problem occurs. One I suggest is VLC Media Player. It's free and works great for almost any kind of video.

Hi Fenor. Thanks for a speedy response.

No I haven't tried the codec pack yet - I'll do that now and let you know how I get on.

Cheers,

Hi Fenor.

Sorry I've been so long but when I went to the Windows Update site, I was prompted to install 12 critical updates!

Right, I've downloaded the codes pack - no change - just get the first couple of seconds - at best - then it reverts to a blank screen - but the audio is still present.

I've also downloaded the player you suggested above but, no difference. In fact, I don't even get the first few seconds, it's blank from the start.

Eagerly awaiting your reply...........................

Fenor - I've fixed it! You can close this thread now.

I simply reinstalled my video drivers and all is fine :tazz: :woot: :) :woot:

Many thanks for your earlier response, I will refrain from installing TV Tool in the future. This must have trashed my entire video setup but all is now fine.

Many thanks,

Colin
