HI

I am buying a computer and the motherboard i chose has 8 channel audio built in. Is it good enough or should i get a sound card?? The motherboard is < Asus A8N SLI Deluxe >. I am going to be using this pc for light-medium level gaming and music.

Hi afg34!

I wouldn't spend money on any PCI sound card until AFTER you have the machine built and am able to test how the speakers work using the onboard sound. Some onboard sound is good while others stink. Really don't know until you try em though.
