I used ad-aware and it found 10 enteries. when i tried to delete them, explorer crashed and "My Documents" folder popped-up. now it gives me errors about missing DLLs and every now and then explorer crash.

i saw the same problem existed in other people computer and i tried removing it myself but it won't budge. :tazz:

i'm running Windows 2000 pro and here's my hijackThis log, i would really appriciate some help,
feldi.

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ntsmod] C:\WINNT\system32\ntsmod.exe

Then look for the following files and let me know if you have them:
msts32.exe
C:\WINNT\system32\tec32.exe
C:\WINNT\system32\sysdebug32.exe
  • Download finditnt2000xp.zip.
  • Unzip the contents of finditnt2000xp.zip to a convenient location.
  • Navigate to the Find It NT-2K-XP folder and double-click on find.bat.
  • A command prompt will open and it will search your computer for malicious files.
  • Once it has finished a Notepad window will pop up with output.txt.
  • Copy the entire contents of output.txt into your next post.
Please do not rebnoot afer posting that log. If you have to reboot make a new one and post it.

Regards,

Pieter
