My 250 Gb Hard drive is in a external box.
All of a sudden today I turned it on and kept getting a message "Drive not Formatted. Would you like To format drive"!

It plugged it into another computer and the same thing happened! What do I do ? how did this happen?

Can I still get the files off of it?

Thank you!!!

OH NO!! Update! It seems another of my external drive is messed up too!! This drive is missing folders while some files are renamed strange characters!

Please any help is needed!!!
I am so afraid that with will happen to all of my drives!!

ok, it looks like the file system may be corrupted...one solution would be a data recovery program or using linux to recover the files?
