I'm at school living in rez. I'd like to share files with people on my floor and various other people in the building. I was read a forum somewhere that talked about a Direct Connect Hub.

I've found to pieces of freeware one creates the hub and the other a client to recieve.

I can't get them to connected. The first time I tried the address was unknown and a little later I tried again they connects was repeatedly timed out.

Any Idea's to what I'm doing wrong would be great.

A good link to related help would be nice too.

Thanks

Hey timetowaste,

What version of DCH are you using? What exactly are the software pieces you downloaded? plug-ins? binaries..etc. And have you checked the log files, both for DCH and Windows Event Manager.

DCH ver. 2.0 and DC++ 0.674

Does is matter what you have as address? Is there certain compenents is has to have?

All the log says is <Hub> hub started and bound to port: 900

What should I look for in Windows Event Manager?
